LBK FC in the Community

LBK FC believes in being contributing members of the communities we serve, therefore we plan outreach events on a club level and encourage each team and player to participate in volunteer work throughout the season. Because community outreach is such a priority for LBK FC, the club has invested in a tracking system which enables players to log and document their volunteer hours. This system can help players meet future outreach requirements for school, church, clubs, etc. by providing those organizations with proper documentation. Just this year, several LBK FC players utilized the LBK FC tracking system to meet National Honor Society volunteer requirements.

The club is pleased to have hosted and/or participated in the following outreach events during the 2016-2017 season:

  • Grace Campus- prepared home-cooked meal and served to the guests at Paul’s Project, 3 times
  • Lubbock Impact- serve meal, 2  times
  • Komen Race For the Cure
  • Children's Home of Lubbock- annually collects hundreds of restaurant gift cards for foster family Christmas gift bags then serves the Christmas meal and works children’s booths at the Foster Family Christmas Party
  • Lubbock Police Department - "Got your 6!"- LBK FC hosted this event at Lubbock Christian  School. The players prepared gift bags and personal thank you notes for every single law enforcement officer in Lubbock/Wolfforth
  • Christmas Eve- Pay It Forward- LBK FC players handed out $5 bills and a prayer letter to families and  patients in the hospital cafeteria on Christmas Eve
  • Lubbock Fire Station- Pay It  Forward- players delivered a meal to Fire Station #1 as a thank you for their service to our community
